How Does Site Capture Work?
Site Capture will follow an XML site map if you have one, or crawl your entire site if it does not find a site map.
It captures a screenshot and the HTML output of each web page it finds. It saves the screenshot and the rendered HTML of each page in a digital vault for up to two years. You can view every page capture using the Site Capture control panel and you can download any capture to your own computer.

What is an XML Google sitemap?
When your web developer created your website, he or she should have also created a special file called a Sitemap that tells search robots, like Googlebot, about all of the pages in your website. A common name for this file is sitemap.xml and can often be found at the root of your website. For example, if you visit http://[yourwebsite.com]/sitemap.xml and see a page that looks like the image below, then you already have an XML site map.
